Vanessa Maria Represents Manchester on Punch Records Tour
BIMM Manchester Songwriting student Vanessa Maria will hit the road this August on a nationwide tour in association ‘Punch Records’. The young alternative R’n’B artist will be representing Manchester on the ‘Welcome To My City’ tour, which sees five urban artists representing their respective home cities at five gigs across England.
Known for their groundbreaking work with emerging artists and their ability to spot the next big thing, Birmingham-based ‘Punch Records‘ have selected five upcoming artists to perform in each of their cities on the tour. Each event will be headlined by the artist from that respective city, with Vanessa kicking off the first date at Night & Day Cafe in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.
Punch seek to promote the work of numerous producers, songwriters, street dancers, visual artists, poets and film-makers and the upcoming ‘Welcome To My City’ tour will be the first time Vanessa and her live band will have toured the UK. Naturally then, she and the band are feeling incredibly excited about the opportunity.
“Punch Records are an artist development agency who work to help young emerging talent to launch self-reliant and productive careers in the music industry.” Explained Vanessa.
“The band and I are very excited and are looking forward to playing shows in new cities, being on a tour bus, seeing new places and meeting new people.”
Vanessa will be joined on the road by fellow artists Jerome Thomas, Lady Sanity, MC Nelson and SVGA, who will all be appearing at the following venues.
