SXSW London kicks off their Roadshow Tour at BIMM Bristol
Following the announcement of BIMM University’s exciting new partnership with SXSW London, the roadshow tour officially hit the road on Friday, 21 March. The first stop? Our BIMM Bristol campus on Moon Street.
The day was filled with outstanding student performances and inspiring industry panel talks.
Speakers included Miles Leonard (Parlaphone, Warner Music), James Threlfall (BBC Introducing), Emma Hardie (Aardman Studios), and Alyx Holcombe (BBC Radio 1). These leading industry professionals shared their insights on topics like mentoring, AI in the creative industries and intersectionality in the arts.
The spotlight was firmly on Bristol’s rising stars, with a series of live performances from BIMM students and graduates. Songwriting student CON performed first, followed by Welsh rapper Stretch The Top Boy, and the day ended with an electrifying performance from Indigo.
Beyond performances and panel discussions, the event provided a platform for BIMM students to network with key figures in the industry.
From impromptu collaborations to meaningful conversations with music executives, the experience proved a significant stepping stone for those looking to carve out their own paths in the industry.
Our next event takes place in Manchester on Wednesday, 9 April. Grab your tickets here.
