Sina Theil hits number 1 on iTunes Country chart
BIMM Dublin undergraduate Sina Theil recently reached the top spot in the iTunes Irish Country music Chart for the fourth time with her latest single ‘Forever And A Day’.
The single, which came out on Downda Road in early March ’18, sees the young songwriter addressing lyrical themes of family, forgiveness and redemption, with the video featuring a collage of personal photographs from her own life, as well as additions from friends and fans.
Sina’s new single has already enjoyed airtime on Ocean Fm, Highland Radio, KFm, Dundalk Fm, etc, as well as Keep It Country TV & RSPV Magazine. Here, the young German-born songwriter explains the meaning behind the song.
“As many families do, my parents and I were going through some issues during my teenage years. Things were tough and we caused each other pain but with time came understanding and we found the way to overcome our differences and heal our family bond. I realised before it was too late that they always did the best they could and supported me in every way, so I wrote this song to say “thank you” and let them know that I love them forever.”
She added, “I hope that this song will resonate with families everywhere and deliver a message of love and healing. It’s also especially dedicated to all mothers, since it’s coming out in time for Mother’s Day.”
‘Forever And A Day’ is Sina’s fourth number-one single on the Irish Country Download Charts since signing to Downda Road Productions. She is currently working on the completion of her debut album due out later this year, which will feature a mix of originals and well-known covers and is set to establish her as one of the top Country Rock/Alt-Country artists in Ireland.
We’ll be watching Sina’s career unfold with keen interest and wish her all the very best with her upcoming album release.
