Martha Phillips Shortlisted for Fender UK’s Undiscovered Artist of the Year

3 October, 2017

BIMM Manchester Diploma graduate Martha Phillips has been shortlisted for Fender UK’s Undiscovered Artist Of The Year!

The winner of the competition gets crowned “Artist Of The Year” by Fender themselves as well as winning a performance slot at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, London supporting acoustic singer songwriter Lucy Rose on November 3.

We’ve been incredibly impressed by Martha’s work ever since she began studying at BIMM just over a year ago. Her band The Elephant Trees have been gaining plenty of momentum as you can see from their latest video for “Monster”.

Martha will perform alongside seven other finalists before a panel of industry judges during a special live show at Proud Galleries, London very soon.

After that, the competition will boil down to just three finalists, who will perform a gig which will be broadcast live via Facebook on 26 October 2017. This is where YOUR votes decide the winner!

Needless to say, we’re 100% behind Martha! We’ll be sure to keep you posted on her process as the weeks unfold.
