Music is one of the most popular forms of art; it’s widely consumed and it’s a vibrant expression of Europe’s cultural diversity. The aim of Music Moves Europe is to support the European music sector and help it to grow and flourish. This particular award helps to contribute to the creativity, diversity and competitiveness of the music sector in Europe.
There is a huge importance to celebrating European talent as the total percentage of music originating from continental Europe is relatively small, compared to that of America. The Music Moves Europe Talent Awards are designed to accelerate the international careers of upcoming European artists.
Bardo signed with Wichita Recordings in 2019; the label that previously represented Bloc Party, The Cribs and a whole host of talents. She graced the BIMM stage at last year’s Great Escape Festival in Brighton and has since released her first EP, Phase, which came out this March.
