Join us as BIMM Talks Music on Saturday 9th February

Come along on Saturday 9th February for a great day of informative panel sessions and networking at BIMM Berlin’s first ‘BIMM Talks Music’ event.

Throughout the afternoon, BIMM lecturers will lend their expertise to current industry issues and trends. Discussion topics cover ways we will consume music in years to come, the realities of touring and how artists can cultivate inspiration in the studios of the future.

Following this, a catered networking event gives you the opportunity to meet other students and make important connections.

12:30pm – 2:30pm: Registration open 

2:15pm – 3:00pm: Panel 1 – The future of digital music

Music Business lecturers Chrissie Niestroj and Joe Sparrow discuss current and upcoming technology – such as streaming, A&R and voice control – affecting the ways we will use music in years to come.

3:15pm – 4:00pm: Panel 2 – Harnessing chaos: Navigating possible futures in the studio and beyond

Production Tutor Noah Pred looks at how developments like machine learning and Artificial Intelligence can impact artist inspiration, music production, performance, enjoyment and consumption.

4:15pm – 5:00pm: Panel 3 – The evolution of touring 

Head of Guitar Knox Chandler and Head of Music Business Charlie Layton explore the changing face of touring, providing advice for life on the road. (Hint: it’s not always as glamorous as it seems!)

5:00pm – 6:30pm : Networking session 

6:30pm – 7:00pm: Performance


Please note this event is only open to BIMM Berlin students and Open Day guests. Those attending the networking session are asked to attend the panel sessions too.

There are a limited number of seats available, so please register, and be sure to let us know if you can’t make it.
