Hunger Moon to Perform at Town Hall, Birmingham
Cinematic indie folk/pop duo and current BIMM Birmingham students Hunger Moon announced recently that they’ll soon perform a special show at Birmingham Town Hall & Symphony Hall as part of the ‘Madlands Xmas Cracker’.
The duo, which consists of guitar student James Attwood and vocalist Natalie Jenkins, confirmed that they’ll perform alongside a selection of talented Birmingham-based acts at the upcoming event, which is being held to celebrate the talents of local musicians.
Featuring performances from The Assist, Malarkey, Johnny Kowalski & The Sexy Weirdos, The Pagans S.O.H, Harry Jordan and MeMe Detroit, the event will be followed by an exclusive set from legendary DJ Dave Haslam.
We caught up with the band ahead of the event, who had this to say about the upcoming performance.
“We’re super excited to be performing at the beautiful Town Hall on the 21st December. It’s a real exciting time to be an original artist in Birmingham and we’re honoured to have been included on an event line-up that celebrates that.”
BIMM Birmingham has already contributed to the local music scene in various ways since the campus’ launch in late 2017, and we’re extremely pleased to hear that our students are being recognised for their creative efforts before they’ve even graduated, especially in a city that’s currently overflowing with original artists.
Hunger Moon plan to return to the studio in early 2019 to record new material. In the meantime, you can stay up to date with future gigs, news and releases via their social media channels.
