BIMM University Berlin announces The Moses Schneider Scholarship

13 June, 2024

We are happy to announce that BIMM University Berlin has partnered with eminent engineer and producer Moses Schneider for a brand-new scholarship.

As one of Germany’s most influential music producers, Schneider has produced several number one and gold records and is responsible for some of the most successful albums of recent years. He is most famous for his work with iconic German acts such as Tocotronic, Beatsteaks, Kreator and Annenmaykantereit. At the Preis für Popkultur (Pop Culture Awards in Germany), Schneider was nominated for Favourite Producer in 2018 and 2022. All of us at BIMM University Berlin could not be more excited to launch this scholarship in his name.

“For me, there’s nothing better than making music in a room with great people. Much better than alone in front of the computer.”

Applicable to students starting their course in September 2024, The Moses Schneider Scholarship will provide full three-year tuition fees for a candidate who is from a low-income household and/or a group that is under-represented in higher education. The scholarship is designed to assist individuals who demonstrate talent in their chosen discipline, strong creative potential, and a desire to pursue a career in the creative industries.

“The BIMM University Berlin team is thrilled to announce Moses Schneider as the advocate of our Music Scholarship. Moses is a legendary figure in music production, both in Germany and internationally. Nearly every successful German rock, indie, alternative, or punk band has either worked with Moses or dreams of recording an album with him. His passion, vast experience, and keen instinct for bringing out the best in bands while giving them an authentic and unique sound make him the perfect ambassador for our music programmes. We are incredibly excited about this collaboration.”
