BIMM Manchester launch Choir & Quartet Sessions
BIMM Music Institute Manchester has launched the Choir & Quartet Sessions, which pairs BIMM students with an incredible string quartet, as well as a choir made up of BIMM and Performers College students.
Featuring amazing original performances from our students, the series sees Anna Herrensmith performing ‘Waltzing Through Ruins’; Monique McGee performing ‘Songbird’; River Styx (Isabella Russell Pieri & Liam Cromby) performing ‘Under My Skin’; Tom C performing ‘Save Me’; and Katie Rigby performing ‘Sad Girl Days’.
The sessions were recorded in The Dancehouse at Northern Ballet School by a Video Production team from MetFilm School (formerly Screen and Film School) comprised of Luke Shires, Jessica Allinson, Molly Pickering, Alex Roger, and Luca Hill.
It wasn’t just students that were involved; BIMM Manchester tutors also played a crucial role. For example, Phoebe Pope provided the string arrangements, Claire Pilling provided the choir arrangements, and Alex Cook (alongside student Emily Davis) was in charge of sound recording and production. It was truly a team effort.
The sessions are being released once a week, and can be found here.
