11 October, 2024

We’re happy to share that the fourth instalment of our new series, BIMM Tastemakers FM podcast, has just been released.

This unique radio-podcast hybrid, which debuted in the summer, is dedicated to showcasing the incredible music and talent emerging from BIMM campuses across the UK, Ireland and Europe.

Produced by industry veterans Phil Taggart (Slack Panda) and Ann Marie Shields (BIMM Creative Futures Dublin), BIMM Tastemakers FM serves as a platform for up-and-coming student presenters to highlight the best of BIMM’s creative community. Each episode features a blend of live sessions, interviews, gig dates, industry insights, and music from our growing talent pool.

Episode 4, the first episode of the academic year, is hosted by BIMM Dublin graduate and soul singer Toshín. The podcast features new music from Affection to Rent, a band from BIMM Dublin whose lead singer, Abbey Addenbroke-Sheriff, won the Fontaines D.C. BA Commercial Modern Music Scholarship, as well as from other rising stars from our Berlin, Brighton and Bristol campuses.

The episode spotlights BIMM Dublin lecturer Shelley Bukspan, who has recently worked as a vocal coach for Tilda Swinton and Michael Shannon in Joshua Oppenheimer’s musical The End. Shelley shares her experiences working with the stars in an in-depth interview with Toshín.

The recurring ‘Top Tips’ segment features Rosie Finn, a BIMM Brighton graduate and the Label Operations Coordinator at Universal Music, who offers invaluable advice for those navigating the music industry.

BIMM Tastemakers FM continues to spotlight the next wave of talent and provide a platform for emerging artists and music industry leaders from all our vibrant campuses.
