Tim Cotterell
MA Learning and Teaching in the Creative Industries
Tim teaches the Postgraduate MA in Learning and Teaching in the Creative Industries at BIMM Music Institute Brighton. He is a performer, music technologist and composer, who has a wide variety of experience in many areas of music. He has performed in over twenty countries as a member of a number of different bands and in recent years has worked as a composer and sound designer for the games industry.
Tim obtained his PGCE from the University of Brighton in 2004 and has since taught music and music technology in a variety of settings, as well as delivering teaching qualifications and working as part of various quality teams. He has also been involved in writing diverse curriculum and contributed to the RSL suite of contemporary music qualifications.
He continues to be actively engaged in performing and composing.
