Sue Quin
Principal Lecturer, Vocals
Sue teaches Vocals at BIMM Music Institute Manchester. She has been working professionally in the music industry for 35 years and is a highly experienced session singer, performer, songwriter, arranger, music tutor, and vocal coach. In 1979 she signed a recording deal with Pye Records, producing an album and two singles.
Publishing deals followed with Pye, EMI and Warner/Chappell, as did songs for Sheena Easton, Sad Café, Little Foxes and Lena Zavaroni. She’s had UK Top 10 music success singing lead and backing vocals on the cancer charity single ‘Do Ya Think I’m Sexy’ by the Girls of FHM, as well as performing on tracks including Sad Café’s ‘Hungry Eyes’ and Bus Stop’s ‘Kung Fu Fighting’, and was presented with a Silver disc by AATW records.
Sue has provided vocals on many film soundtracks, including ‘Star Trek’, ‘Bowfinger’, ‘The BFG’ and ‘The Big Tease’. She’s toured with Gloria Estefan, Russell Watson, Snake David and the Suspicions, and Sad Café, and provided backing vocals for Esperanza Spalding, which led to her making a guest appearance with David Garfield and George Benson’s band in Manchester.+
