Steven Wilkinson
Dean of Digital Education
Steven began his career as a music producer, performer, and songwriter, setting up his own recording studio and teaching business in 2010. His expertise led him to Metropolis Studios in 2015, where he worked as a Mastering Engineer, earning industry acclaim for his work with notable artists such as The Carnabys, Kyko, Alesha Dixon, Ellie Goulding, and Pixie Lott, among others.
Steven began teaching music production and performance at the Academy of Contemporary Music, gradually taking on additional roles, including Head of Music Production (FE) and Head of School & Learning Technology.
Since his appointment as Head of Education at BIMM University's Brighton campus in 2018, Steven has held various senior management positions, primarily focusing on advancing digital education. As the Dean of Digital Education, he leads the formulation and execution of strategies concerning learning technology, digital library services, and online learning.
Recognising the transformative power of technology in nurturing individual creativity and facilitating learning, Steven actively engages in conferences and research endeavours, serving as a representative for BIMM and advocating for the evolving needs of the Creative Arts Education Sector.
