Richard Young
Drum Lecturer *
Richard teaches Drums at BIMM Music Institute Manchester. He studied Drum Kit and Percussion at The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, gaining a 1st Class Honours degree. Since leaving Birmingham he has toured Sri Lanka and Bangladesh with the legendary "John Mayer's Indo Jazz Fusions" and toured extensively in Europe and North America with Psych-Folk pioneers "The Earlies".
He has recorded sessions at BBC Maida Vale and the iconic Real World and performed on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury, South-by-South West in Austin, Texas. He has also recorded/performed with Plan B, KT Tunstall, Daniel Johnston and Thea Gilmore amongst others.
