Mike Hosker

Mike is the Course Leader for Music Business at BIMM Music Institute Manchester. He began his career in the music industry as the bassist for the Manchester new wave indie band, Lowline. Having toured extensively in the UK and Europe, the band achieved three consecutive Top 5 singles in UK Indie charts, and received iTunes US’s prestigious ‘Single of the Week’ accolade, as well as being named their ‘Alternative Breakthrough Artist of the Year’.

Since then, Mike has undertaken a number of creative industry roles, including jobs in label, artist, and event management. He currently manages a small yet diverse roster of artists and is an acting director of the music network and development agency, Un-Convention. Mike has six years’ experience in education, teaching on creative Degree programmes, while developing and delivering qualifications from Levels 2-6.
