Lecturer

Lulu Le Vay (DJ name: Lulu Levan) is a professional DJ, academic, lecturer, journalist and author. She was awarded her PhD in Sociology from Goldsmiths, University of London.

Her playful brand as a ‘PhDJ’ combines her worlds of music and academia, as her love of music is just as prolific as her love for writing, education and research. Lulu has been a regular fixture at The Ned and across the Soho House group, as well as being a long-term resident at the House of St Barnabas. She has also brought musical joy and high vibes to crowds at festivals such as Citadel, Lovebox and Bestival, and has been a regular at the infamous Pikes Hotel in Ibiza. You can also find her hosting music-meets-culture shows for both Soho and Run Dem Radio. Lulu’s musical repertoire is fun, varied and eclectic, boasting disco, nu-disco, classic house, 80s electro, soul, funk, reggae, old school hip hop and R&B.
