Course Leader, Songwriting
Lisbee is the Course Leader for Songwriting at BIMM Music Institute London. She is an independent artist, songwriter, session musician, and producer based in London. She has been writing music for over 20 years, has released six studio albums, been playlisted on BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6music, and extensively toured the UK and Europe, both as a headline act and supporting artists such as Joan Armatrading, Paul Carrack, Gretchen Peters, Paul Brady, Judy Collins, Fisherman's Friends, and Seth Lakeman, who's band she subsequently played banjo, harmonium and sang backing vocals in for four years.
Lisbee is a classically trained guitarist known for playing a unique handmade 8-string guitar and has co-written in the UK and Nashville USA with writers such as Ivor Novello nominee Charlie Dore, Tom Robinson (BBC 6music), Blue Miller (India Arie), Lamont ‘Logic’ Coleman (Wyclef Jean), and BMG writer Tebey Ottoh (Pixie Lott, One Direction).
Lisbee is a huge advocate of music education and believes that every single young person should have access to music education to be given the opportunity to study any and all of the arts. In addition to her work at BIMM London, she has travelled around the UK running songwriting workshops for 15-18 year olds in schools and is a fellow at the Hereford College of the Arts.
