Greg teaches Bass at BIMM Music Institute Bristol. He divides his time between the UK and New York City and keeps a busy schedule on both electric and double bass. This has lead to him working with artists as diverse as Patrick Wolf, Jim White, Merz, Oi Va Voi, Avishai Cohen, Hayley Westenra, Jerry Douglas, Iain Ballamy, Jason Rebello, Pee Wee Ellis, Jim Mullen, Andy Sheppard amongst many others.
With extensive touring experience throughout the UK, Europe, USA, and diverse interests in improvised music, composition, and education. His first album as bandleader/composer ‘Paper Crane’ brought critical acclaim, and well received performances as London, Manchester, and Bristol Jazz Festivals. The second album was recorded in Brooklyn, and features the talents of Steve Cardenas, Allison Miller, Kirk Knufke, Michael Blake, and with notable bassist composer Ben Allison producing. Greg holds an MA in Jazz Performance, and is fortunate to have received tuition along the way from Reid Anderson, Chris Lightcap, Dwayne Burno, Phil Palombi.
