Deputy Course Leader - Guitar
Currently working as a full-time freelance guitarist, based in Dublin, Darren is a Guitar lecturer at BIMM Institue Dublin. With 15 years of gigging, teaching and studio experience, he has performed alongside artists such as Imelda May, Paul Noonan, Al Porter, The Hothouse Flowers, Hue & Cry, Donna Taggart, The Three Tenors. Damien Dempsey, Roy Ayers, NC Grey and BABA.
Darren holds a BMus degree from Maynooth University and a Diploma in Jazz performance from Newpark.
Darren is a versatile guitarist specialising in Jazz, Classical, Rock and Funk, and he has gained vast experience in the musical theatre scene performing on shows such as Legally Blonde, Hairspray, Sister Act, All Shook Up, 9 To 5, Rent, Our House, We Will Rock You, Made In Dagenham, Crush, The pyjama Games, Sweet charity, Grease, The Wedding Singer, Joseph and The Technicolour Dreamcoat, Oklahoma and Sweet Charity.
