Dan Soro

Dan teaches Guitar at BIMM Music Institute Dublin. Irish-born guitarist Daniel Soro has been performing classical and flamenco solo guitar since the age of 16, before becoming an accomplished jazz performer.
He is a highly qualified and experienced professional in both performance and jazz teaching with degrees from Maynooth University (Philosophy and Music BA), as well the renowned Newpark Music Centre (Jazz Performance BA).
After finishing his BA in Newpark with first class honours, he stayed on to teach intermittently until its move to DCU in 2016. He currently teaches both privately as well as in Newpark Music Centre and BIMM Dublin.
Soro previously has received acclaim for his alternative rock project The Straw Gods (currently on Hiatus). Most regularly he can be found playing with Ireland's finest Jazz musicians both as side man as well as leading his own ‘Soro Quartet’ with which he has performed at a number of Irish and International Jazz Festivals.
