Dan Crowther
Lecturer, Music Production & Events *
Dan teaches Music Production, Artist Management and Event Management at BIMM Music Institute Manchester. Dan developed his skills in recording and production whilst studying at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston, and graduated in 2015. Since then he has worked with various artists in the North West, including; HUDSUN and The Sam Ferranti Sextet.
Dan also has a passion for live music and has been a gigging musician, playing electric bass for Saytr Play for several years, touring in cities across the UK and Europe. Dan has also run many gigs and club nights at The Bread Shed in Manchester where he is a core member of the events team. He is looking to develop the venue into being one of Manchester's best 'grass-roots' event spaces.
More recently Dan has helped produce several bespoke sample libraries with his colleague Josh Cullen (BIMM Manchester) under the name Squid Audio. Since teaching moved partially online in 2020, Dan has also been working to improve his skills in video production to enhance the online learning experience.
