Cian Walsh

Cian teaches Songwriting at BIMM Music Institute Berlin. Born in Ireland into a family of professional musicians, Cian’s musical journey began from day one. With a keen ear for melody, he started composing songs at the age of seven and had his first record release aged 15. Cian’s formal training came in the form of a Bachelor’s Degree in Music at Ireland’s acclaimed Cork School of Music, where he honed his craft as a composer, guitarist and producer.

Cian has enjoyed chart success with his band COMA_54, and has toured Europe and the US with them. The band negotiated deals with various major labels and are represented by London-based entertainment law firm, Lee & Thompson (Depeche Mode, FKA Twigs, Ministry of Sound). Off-stage, Cian has worked as a staff writer for Harvest Creative Services, where he has provided music for various corporate advertising and marketing campaigns in the US, and he also has many years’ experience as a music educator in his native Ireland.
