Briggy, a former Radio 1 and MTV presenter has interviewed a huge array of bands, actors and celebrities and liaised with record labels, managers, event organisers, PRs and journos. She has reported from major music festivals and cultural events in the UK and around the world, such as Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, Ibiza Rocks, the Brits; MTV, Ivor Novello and Mercury awards, and film premieres. She is currently the Entertainment Correspondent for Times Radio and a freelance media trainer.
Briggy shares her extensive broadcasting and production experience in her role as Executive Producer of The Loft Sessions – a BIMM Brighton student-led, music and arts-based online channel. Our content includes interviews with Fatboy Slim, The Specials, Sleaford Mods, RuPaul drag queens, 2000 Trees, Brighton Pride, BBC Introducing, The Great Escape and Victorious Festival and a raft of rising talent. As BIMM’s Portfolio Careers Manager, she coaches students to represent themselves effectively to the music industry and wider creative industries.
Briggy was also Programme Manager at Brighton’s Juice Radio and hosted “The Sunday Surgery” on Radio 1. She has been awarded a Visiting Fellowship at Southampton Solent University for her services to media.
