BIMM University Graduations

All ceremonies for BIMM Music Institute, Met Film, and Performers College will be held on Tuesday, 18th November 2025.

At the Brighton Dome, Church St, Brighton, BN1 1UE.

• Met Film and Performers College (joint ceremony):
  • 08:00-10:30: Gowning at Unitarian Church/Photos at The Old Court House (*see more detailed gowning and photo info below).
  • 10:00: Auditorium opens.
  • 11:00-12:30: Ceremony.
  • 12:30-13:30: Drinks reception at The Brighton Dome.
• BIMM Music Institute :
  • 12:00-15:30: Gowning at Unitarian Church/Photos at The Old Court House (*see more detailed gowning and photo info below).
  • 15:30: Auditorium opens.
  • 16:30-18:00: Ceremony.
  • 18:00-19:00: Drinks reception at The Brighton Dome.

• Graduand tickets are free.
• Guest tickets cost £20 per person (up to 3 guest tickets per graduand).
• Children under 2 can attend for free (if sat on a parent/guardian’s lap)
• (Note: We’ll update you in October if extra guest tickets become available after the initial booking deadline. These are likely to be limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis)

Early August:

• Ede & Ravenscroft website with full details on how to reserve your seat and hire your cap and gown (if you intend to do so).
• Brighton Dome website for buying guest tickets.
• Additional gowning and photo information.

Mid-September: a reminder to reserve your space/book gown with Ede & Ravenscroft.

End-October: a specific time slot for gowning/robing + info about your certificate.

End October/early November: a notification of any additional guest ticket availability.

Early November: full information about the ceremony, including ticket details.

You don’t need to hire a cap and gown, but you will still need to reserve your seat via the Ede & Ravenscroft site: https://www2.edeandravenscroft.com/graduation/index/.

Please note this website won’t be live until August, when we will contact you with full info on how to reserve your seat/book your gown (if you choose to wear one).

Gown hire prices:

• Bachelors/1st degree: £46 in advance / £56 on the day
• Master’s degree: £52 in advance / £61 on the day
• PGCert: £46 in advance / £56 on the day

Unitarian Church, New Rd, BN1 1UF (30 seconds from The Brighton Dome). Ede & Ravenscroft staff will be on hand to make you look your best!

Returning gowns:

Gown return bins will be in the Dome foyer and exits. Please note you MUST return your gown before leaving the venue and BIMM University is not responsible for gown returns. If you fail to return your gown, you will need to pay for the return to Ede & Ravenscroft yourself.

Taken by Lafeyette Photography at Old Court House, 118 Church St, BN1 1UD (near Dome/Unitarian Church). No booking required but as these slots get busy, it is advised to head straight there after gowning. Graduates and guests can order/pay for photos/prints either directly with the Lafayette team on the day or via their website after the ceremony.

We are committed to making graduation accessible for all attendees. Detailed information on how to specify accessibility requirements for both graduands and guests (e.g., wheelchair access, specific seating) will be provided with the official invitation in August when booking is open. If you have preliminary questions about accessibility arrangements before booking opens, please contact the Graduation Team at [email protected].

We recommend planning your travel, and any necessary accommodation, in Brighton well in advance, as November can be busy. Brighton is easily accessible by train and coach. Please note that parking in the city centre near the venue is limited and may require pre-booking. Those attending the morning ceremony (Met Film/Performers College) should particularly consider travel times due to the early start.

Yes, we plan to live-stream both graduation ceremonies for family and friends who cannot attend in person. Details on how to access the livestream will be shared closer to the event date.

All communications regarding graduation will be sent to your BIMM STUDENT EMAILS so please check regularly for updates from:

• The Graduation team ([email protected])
• The Academic team ([email protected])

It is likely your certificate will be mailed in the post to you AFTER the ceremony. You will receive an email from either the Academic Team or Graduation Team over the summer, requesting you inform us of any change in address / the best address to send your certificate to. This means you won’t have to worry about keeping hold of your certificate on a day of celebration!

If you require an official confirmation of your degree prior to the certificates available (eg for job applications), the Academic Admin team can provide you with a copy of your Academic Transcript or your Diploma Supplement. These documents will confirm the outcome of your degree and are fully authenticated by BIMM. Regrettably, we cannot provide digital copies of your Degree Certificate.
