Crafting Hits, Building a Career Songwriter Camp
Songwriter Camp is an immersive, two-week songwriting course designed for aspiring songwriters looking to enhance their skills and take their craft to the next level.
This hands-on program offers expert training in lyric writing, melody creation, and collaboration with fellow musicians. Over the course of the camp, you’ll work closely with industry professionals and session musicians to perfect your songs, culminating in a professionally recorded track.
By the end of the course, you’ll have a portfolio of original songs and a high-quality track ready for music industry submissions, including record labels, radio stations, and agents.
No prior songwriting experience is required, making this perfect for both beginner songwriters and those looking to build a career in music.

Songwriting Overview
In this module, you’ll learn foundational songwriting skills, including lyric writing, melody creation, and harmony crafting. You will also dive into various song structures and explore how to communicate emotion through your lyrics and melodies.
Creative Writing & Free Writing
These sessions will unlock your creativity through free writing exercises that help you generate fresh song ideas and uncover new themes. You’ll also explore techniques for deepening your writing skills and discovering your unique voice as a songwriter.
Co-Writing & Collaboration
Collaboration is essential in the music industry. This module teaches you how to effectively work with other songwriters and musicians, co-writing songs, and building stronger tracks together. You will gain insight into the co-writing process, which is a key component of the professional songwriting world.
Melody & Harmony Writing
Learn how to write catchy melodies and harmonies that support your lyrics and enhance the emotional depth of your songs. This module will teach you how to build melodies that resonate with listeners and make your songs stand out.
Recording Techniques
Gain hands-on experience in a professional recording studio, where you’ll learn how to work with session musicians and a producer to bring your songs to life. You will also explore the technical side of recording, from arrangement to the final recording process.
Music Marketing & Promotion
This module will give you the tools to promote your music. Learn strategies for building your brand, using social media to connect with fans, and preparing for the release of your music. You’ll gain practical advice on how to navigate the modern music industry and market your songs effectively.

Entry requirements
Minimum Age: 18 at the start of the course.
This course is open enrolment and there are no entry requirements.
In order to get the most out of the course, you should be able to both speak and write in English to a reasonable standard.
Please be aware that we have a limited number of places available for each course intake and operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
