Independent artist, guitarist on Machine Gun Kelly’s world tour, and internet sensation… is there anything Sophie Lloyd can’t do?
Having received first-class honours for her Popular Music Performance degree at BIMM London, she released her first EP Delusions in 2018, which was recorded and produced with Jason Wilson of Stakeout Studios. The release was a resounding success, with the music video for her title song ‘Delusions’ gaining millions of streams.
Sophie’s YouTube career has since skyrocketed, with her ‘shredleys’ – which include covers and original material – surpassing 180 million views. Her enormous following has led to collaborations with influential brands like Amazon Prime and Hard Rock Café.
As guitarist on Machine Gun Kelly’s Mainstream Sellout tour, Sophie got the chance to play at legendary venues such as New York’s Madison Square and London’s Wembley Arena. She is now selling out her own headline shows, with her first ever US headline show set for January 2025.
Imposter Syndrome, Sophie’s debut album, was released in 2023 and features Trivium’s Matt Heafy. On its first week, the record hit number 3 in the rock charts and 11 on the independent albums chart – impressive stuff.
