BIMM Music Institute London Vocals graduate Salime Caram is the new vocal coach for The Voice Dominicana.
Since graduating, she has spent a lot of time working in her private studio, as well as being a vocal coach in her community. She’s gigged at festivals, private events and bars, and released an EP in tribute to Mercedes Sosa, her inspiration. In 2020, she released her first original song as well as a romantic ballad with KeWenaOnda. She has also worked with Jorge Aragon, a Cuban pianist/producer, on two news songs.
“Being the first Dominican woman to graduate from a BMus in Popular Music Performance (Vocals) is one of my greatest points of pride,” she says. “Singing with a Big Band on a national TV channel was also a dream come true. And, being able to work on The Voice Dominicana as a vocal coach is something that I had on my bucket list.”
So, what’s next on Salime’s bucket list? “Record an album and start my Masters degree,” she says. We can’t wait to listen to her debut album and watch her on The Voice Dominicana.
