BIMM Manchester graduate Phoebe Green creates darkly witty and very danceable indie rock tunes that are refreshingly honest about the trials and tribulations of modern relationships.
In 2016, Phoebe self-released her album 02:00AM. The album gained millions of streams and quickly caught the attention of Chess Club Records, an indie record label associated with artists such as Alfie Templeman, Jungle, Wolf Alice, and Sundara Karma.
Phoebe has since released several EPs, as well as an entire studio album, with Chess Club Records. Her 2022 album Lucky Me was given four stars by NME. The record is characteristically introspective but leans more towards pop, with 80s beats and synths scattered throughout.
She has performed in key venues around the UK and Ireland and toured alongside self-proclaimed ‘queer power pop duo’ ARXX. In addition, she’s graced festivals like Truck, Neighbourhood Weekender, The Great Escape, and Night Currents.
Phoebe currently boasts an impressive 52,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, with her latest EP Ask Me Now cementing her as an artist destined for greatness. She’s set to do another run of shows across the UK in April 2025, so we’ll see her on the road!
