Julien Brown

Session Musician

Julien Brown’s time at BIMM Music Institute London has set him on the way to collaborating with some great names in modern music. He started playing the drums at three years old on his mother’s pots and pans and has never looked back. He has now established himself as one of the UK’s most talented and sought-after drummers on the popular music scene.

His eclectic style, ranging from R&B to Jazz, Pop to Grime, is powerful, accurate, and groovy. Julien went on to study music theory and sight-reading, enabling him to work with an even larger audience.

Julien’s CV boasts an enviable list of some of the UK’s finest, as well as some US legends. 2009 saw him jump from one of the world’s most significant pop sensations: Lady Gaga to Trip-Hop innovators Massive Attack. Other names include Kylie Minogue, Jamelia, Lemar, Kano, David Jordan, Shayne Ward, and his X-Factor Colleagues: Leon Jackson & Steve Brookstein.

Kai’s live touring schedules have taken him all over the world with headline appearances at arenas, stadiums, and festivals, as well TV appearances such as Saturday Night Live, Later… with Jools Holland, Radio 1 Live Lounge, Jimmy Kimmel, and the Ellen DeGeneres show with artists like Dua Lipa.
