Jenn Hill

Drummer, Educator

After graduating from BIMM Bristol’s BA (Hons) Professional Musicianship course, Jenn found work as a drum tutor at Yamaha, working with groups and individuals.

Awarded her degree by Glastonbury Festival founder Michael Eavis, Jenn says of her education: “BIMM gave me a realistic look into the music industry. I’m really enjoying being a Yamaha drum tutor, gigging with my own band and performing with my function band. These projects have enabled me to make a living from music.”

Since then, Jenn launched the Waterloo Music School, a private music school in Bristol, with fellow BIMM alumni Louisa Baker, teaching drums, keyboards, vocals, guitar, and bass to a variety of ages across the local community. Both graduates perform in the all-female band The Baronesques.

She continuously tours the UK and has had success internationally with her band ‘IDestroy’.
She boasts appearances in Drummer magazine and music videos premiered by Kerrang! She has performed as a session drummer with a wide range of artists such as Skindred, The Vibrators, The Hoosiers, Raveneye, and Dead!. She has also performed at various festivals, including Glastonbury, Rebellion, 2000 Trees Festival, and The Big Chill.

She is now an educator at dBs Music in Bristol.
