Charlie Lowe
Social Media Manager
Charlie completed a BA (Hons) Degree in Event Management in 2018, and has since gone on to become Brighton & Hove Pride Festival’s Social Media Manager
She fulfilled this role after first getting involved with Pride by completing an internship with the festival organisers during her studies at BIMM Brighton.
Other relevant music industry work placements accrued during her time at BIMM includes being a member of the Press Team at award-winning UK Pop-punk, Metal, and Alternative music Festival, Slam Dunk.
Reflecting on her time at BIMM, Charlie said:
“Going to BIMM definitely helped me to get a better grasp on what parts of the Events industry I wanted to pursue as a professional career. BIMM is really what you make it, there are so many opportunities available to students and the teaching staff are a wealth of knowledge across a wide spectrum of events/departments.
I learnt that by taking advantage of the opportunities available, it gives the potential to make a big difference, both in the academic side of the degree and your professional life outside of studying.”
